Yoga Built for Presence.
Held in Philosophy.
Grounded in You.

Where Hatha steadiness, Tantric wisdom, and care-centered healing meet on the mat and beyond.
Each session invites you to move with curiosity, settle into stillness, and rediscover joy in the process.

The mission

Soulful Soma is a space for rest, reconnection, and renewal (created by and for Black, queer, and marginalized communities, and open to anyone seeking healing on their own terms). We offer yoga, meditation, and somatic practices rooted in Hatha and Tantric lineages, with a focus on slowing down, feeling deeply, and moving with intention. Our work centers collective care, not performance. Whether you're new to practice or returning home to it, you're welcome to show up as you are—with no fixing, no pressure, no perfection.

Each session we offer is built with intention: to support folks in resetting their nervous systems, exploring what the body holds, and tapping into clarity, joy, and release. We hold yoga philosophy not as distant ideals but as everyday tools, letting the yamas, niyamas, breath, and reflection guide us back to what matters. At Soulful Soma, we honor the fullness of your experience. You don’t have to earn your rest. You don’t have to dim your light. You get to take up space, move at your own rhythm, and remember what care feels like.

Methods, Modes, and Modalities

  • Yoga

Grounded in Hatha and Tantric philosophy, our yoga sessions invite you to move with care, not performance. Each practice supports reflection, strength, and deep reconnection. Postures offer support for your joints, nurture strength with steadiness, and invite ease back into how your body moves.

  • Meditation

A quiet practice for deep restoration. Meditation offers nervous system relief, emotional steadiness, and a rhythm that supports healing over time. Each session helps you feel more connected to yourself and move through the day with greater ease.

  • Sound Bath

Tone and vibration settle the system from the inside. This practice shifts brainwave states, calms the vagus nerve, and helps reset stress patterns stored deep in the body. Each session creates the conditions for deep rest and quiet repair.

Franky Morales - Addae, founder of Soulful Soma, is a 200-hour Certified Yoga Practitioner and a committed student of Generative Somatics. Born in Los Angeles and now based in Brooklyn, Franky’s work brings together movement, mindfulness, meditation, sound healing, and somatic awareness.

His approach centers care for Black bodies and other marginalized communities, grounded in the belief that healing and rest are necessary, deserved, and deeply personal.

Soulful Soma grew out of Franky’s own lived experience—a journey toward feeling safe in their body, reconnecting with joy, learning how to hold happiness, and finding care in community.

Built especially with Black Queer men in mind, Soulful Soma is a place to slow down, feel held, and come home to yourself. Healing here isn’t a service—it’s shared, relational, and rooted in love.
